The West Hills Symphonic Band is excited to kick off the 2024-25 concert season with Blazing Colors! at Montour High School on Sunday, October 27th, at 3:00 PM!
Inspired by the vibrant colors of the season, our Principal Conductor & Music Director Clem Rolin and Associate Conductor Tom Snyder have selected a program that will explore the many color palettes of wind band literature and feature esteemed composers, such as Vincent Persichetti, Percy Grainger, Camille Saint-Saëns, and Michael Giacchino.
We are also proud to feature fellow band member Dr. Brent Alexander as a guest conductor for ON A HYMN SONG OF PHILIP BLISS (David Holsinger). Dr. Alexander is on faculty at Robert Morris University, where he is Director of Choral Activities, Coordinator of Applied Voice, and serves as a Musical Director for University productions. He is normally seen in our low woodwind section performing on alto, bass, and contrabass clarinet.
Featured concert selections include:
AUTUMN LEAVES – Johnny Mercer and Joseph Kosma
