West Allegheny High School
Come out to see the West Hills Symphonic Band in our final indoor performance of the season at West Allegheny High School on Sunday, April 28th, at 3:00 PM!
Led by our Principal Conductor & Music Director Clem Rolin and Associate Conductor Tom Snyder, this pops-style concert will feature some light classical fare in addition to some crowd favorites from TV, movies, and Broadway. Pittsburghers will be especially delighted to hear some fond musical memories from MISTER RODGERS' NEIGHBORHOOD, and Dr. John Pastin will once again be gracing the podium to conduct POLKA MEDLEY, which includes classics like the Pennsylvania, Liechtensteiner, Clarinet, and Beer Barrel polkas!
Other selections include:
76 TROMBONES - a creative arrangement from the classic musical The Music Man
AMERICANS WE - the famous march by Henry Fillmore
ANIMATION (Episode 1: WABBIT!) - a cartoon action fantasy
GLADIATOR - music from the great film composer Hans Zimmer
POET AND PEASANT OVERTURE - by Franz Von Suppe
SEND IN THE CLOWNS - a timeless Stephen Sondheim ballad from A Little Night Music
